My husband has red itchy bumps and a rash from groin area down upper thighs?

now I have it nothing seems to clear this up. He has tried jock itch meds and I have tried medicated powder. I have never had any problems not even a yeast infection. What could this be?

That sounds an awful lot like the STD Herpes. It can remain dormant for years and break out while the immune system is weakened due to a common cold etc.
